Elevator Pitch

Hi there, I am a blog user of “Blogspot” with much knowledge about PHP, .NET and MySQL. I found blogspot is easy and normally used as a student. I build this blog for practice and improve my knowledge and abilities to understand more about how Client-Sever-Database system works, dose XML better than HTML or XHTML, dose JSP or ASP.NET works well than PHP, what are the differences between them. We have a group of people working on this as a class named E-system Infrastructure Development. We give comments to each other to improve our abilities and share our ideas, but that is not enough, to help me use your power, could I get more comments from you?

In the first report, this blog is just created and has few functions, quite a few comments given by other students. To this report, based on the first report, there are many changes to the blog according to the suggestions from other students. In the current blog, the he title is clearly shows at the position of banner, this change is from a friend’s comment. There are 6 funtions on the main menu in the homepage which are All files, Reccent Comments, Beatweek Magazine, Followers, My posts and About Me. These functions are displayed on the left side of the blog. RSS as a new technology normally used now, it’s playing an important role not only in the blogs but also most of the WebPages. It can help the bloggers to communicate others. For instance, while some of the blogger’s followers or friends update their contents of the blogs or delete something, the details will appears as soon as they changed if RSS is used in the blog. On the right side of blog, the latest article always appears with the full contents and people can leave comments under it. The comments from others are most important to the blog, they continue the life of the blog and help it grows.


From this blog, people can do more functions and improvements than edit articles or receive information from the page by using Web 2.0. There are 21 basics gadgets in the “customize” function of “Blogspot”, also 15 more featured gadgets and 25 other gadgets as following. To improve the blog, it is very important and necessary to understand what RSS is and how to use RSS. On the other hand, as a blog developer, it is very basic to use the functions and buttons in the “customize”. Developers may not understand or use all of the functions there, however, grasp at least 10 of them is the basic knowledge to developers. While people are interested in the essay of the blog, they can give comments by clicking “Comments” button, and then they can leave comments after click “Post Comment”. As the developers they can see the comments immediately after people leave the comments. When the developers reply the comments in the blogs, the RSS can automatically shows the contents to the followers and the friends.
